Mr. Feng Zhenghu’s return home was a result of his persistence and a reluctant compromise from the Chinese government and its Shanghai authorities with the pressure from international community. From this incident the arrogant Chinese authorities have learned to dialogue and compromise with Chinese citizens. This is the meaning of Mr. Feng’s ordeal. His experience showed that we still have to fight for those rights even if we are entitled to them. History will remember Mr. Feng’s heroic action: as long as we keep fighting, we will further our cause – nothing is worse than merely waiting and being butchered.
